Flemish after-school classes | from 8/21/2017

Dutch after-school language classes will be offered from August 21st,  2017 at the Atlanta International School [AIS] as part of their new Heritage Language program.   Below follow some interesting points and the contact details of Hermine Morrell who is coordinating this exciting program.  Make sure to enroll quickly if interested!

  • The program is also open to non AIS families.
  • Classes meet twice a week, meaning 3 hours a week.  The basis for the tuition fees is $25 per class. By charging $25 the groups can be self-funding with only three students which allows greater individualized support for your child and makes it possible for us to  offer a greater range of languages and age groups.
  • The tutor will be an experienced native speaker, in partnership with De Molenwiek which will enable us to have access to their teachers.
  • The curriculum will be designed by AIS, inquiry based (with STEAM components) and inspired by the IB curriculum. AIS’s framework will not match the requirements of the R1 classes offered by De Molenwiek.

  1. This is fantastic. We have been asking for an ITP option for Dutch school for years. I’m so glad the Molenwiek and Hermine Morrell could accommodate that request. Is there an option for middle school and high school Dutch classes?
